The original concept I had for this cover was that I’d individually draw each Slaver that surrounded him, pointing guns or other such weapons, but instead I went with this for simplicity’s sake as well as tying in with the whole demonic feel that Lightbringer associates with them since he believes a member of the Slavers killed his parents. Also, I’m not entirely copping out by not filling in the lines and just making it all black with red eyes or using silver lines to make out the heads, it’s also to associate with the unnatural and perversity that is associated with the Slavers.
Now, if you don’t buy the artsy explanation, I’ll say I was lazy.
