Where to start with this page? ^_~

The most noticeable thing about it is the obvious homage to one of the best damn graphic novels in history. While I disagree with many who believe it the best graphic novel of all time, I’d have to say it ranks pretty darn high up there. And yes, the reason Lightbringer’s saying it is because he’s read it, too. ^_~

Two cameos in this page, too! Right smack dab in the center is Commissioner Albert Johnson from Dasien. The next is a little less obvious to spot due to having a very different drawing style in mind, but it was intended to be him. The guy carting off the little Slaver is Detective Justin King from Cold Servings. Guess some parallel universes hold to their truths when it comes to professions, eh? ^_~

This is yet another page where I drew multiple people in it! Wow! When I end an arc, I end it with a bang! ^_~

Also, any ideas for a method for Chief Crane to contact Lightbringer? I initially thought a Light-signal in the tradition of Batman, but decided that it’d just be copying them and I want this to have a little more originality. I’d love to hear your ideas, otherwise I’ll just use some fireworks gun or something for him to signal Lightbringer’s attention.

Now then, back during the first arc, I mentioned that there'd be a second reason as to why I created the Slavers and here it is. During the second season run of Battlestar Galactica, there's an episode titled "Black Market." In it, the character Apollo is investigating an illegal Black Market of supplies, drugs, prostitution, and even child prostitution for clients who raped children. In the story, when given the same choice Lightbringer was given, Apollo shot the leader of the Black Market in the head and had the Black Market continue because he felt that it did more good alive than dead. I'm pretty sure he shut down the child prostitution part of it, but I'm still so mad at the episode that I can't remember exactly. Again, my philosophies are seeping into the story and part of it is that while there are some moral grey areas, there are still moral absolutes of black and white. And continuing something that's evil just because some "good" comes from it is just terrible and definitely on the "black" side of things, so this was my needed response to it.

In any case, next week's Wednesday page will end this storyline! And what a cliffhanger it shall be. ^_~
