Consider this my Apology page for the remarks about pacifism early in the comic. I know it's not the best thing and it comes off kind of stilted in the way the question is framed, but there you have it. Pacifism can be useful in the right situations, but with Pharos City it isn't.

Actually, this page is an example of a flaw I've noted before - I don't script a lot of these beforehand. I have a vague idea of what's going to be said when I draw it, but most of the time the actual words aren't there. As a result, I'll draw something in reference to something I had originally planned on saying, but then it gets cut out. Like, for example, the chains behind Lightbringer in the third panel. I was going to make a reference to the "Legacy of chains" thing or that "Werres would rather see me in chains" type of dialogue, but it didn't make it. Plus, I rewrote this twice because originally Lightbringer was going on for a bit about why pacifism works in other situations but doesn't in Pharos' case and it sounded even more forced than this dialogue. If I had actually drawn a second page for Lightbringer answering questions on the stand, we would've seen a bit more of him talking about why there needs to be superheroes in their world.
